As plants grow, they take nutrients from the water and store them in their biomass. Periodic harvesting removes those nutrients from the waterbody, allowing the process to continue as new plants grow.

Beemats can be installed across a variety of water environments and are designed to adapt to changing water levels. As the water rises and falls, the system moves with it, keeping the plant root system in direct contact with the water.
